Among the last great Craftsmans built in Portland, this Tabor Mansion is by Portland’s illustrious architects Root and Knighten. This handsome 1912 home sits on five city lots of manicured gardens.
Working on Portland’s great houses is always a pleasure, but re-drawing from the intact original blueprints by historic master architects is a delight! We improved function without diminishing the unusually intact historic feel of the house. We have given the Stolte House new bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen and with careful restoration, returned her to bygone glory. We even plan to make the old inner-house 1912 phone system work again!
