We had the opportunity to get to know the Montgomerys and their dreams well, which helped optimize our cooperative approach! We happily realized the Montgomerys’ vision: maintaining the original splendor of their home, reflecting their love of contemporary ski lodge style, and the needs of an active family of six.
The home now has a lodge feel and minor themes in perfect harmony with the original Tudor style.
We explored minor themes, such as echoing the house’s arch motif, and stained hardwoods.
We used many hand-worked materials and surfaces that organically change such as the Brazilian cherry that is photo-sensitive and will darken, the copper sinks that green, and marble that patinas with time.
