The-Markham-HouseIn the 1600’s while the Spanish conquistadors were feverishly working indigenous populations to death in gold mines, they were simultaneously spreading religion through great mission churches. These buildings were built as far North as San Francisco, and became the basis of a revival in the early 1900’s by builders who felt Spanish Mission to be a most authentically original West Coast Style.
