John also founded the Faces Event Series and is launching a foundation.

Our Foundation: We have launched a foundation to maximize our philanthropic work. The foundation will devote resources on causes we feel strongly about and where they will have the greatest impact. We’re are working to address the housing crisis, historic preservation, and community unification.

Foundation Mission: To tap the greatness of individuals,  focus resources on the betterment of Portland, and to serve the greatest needs where we can have the greatest impact. We will heighten awareness of heritage and promote civic pride in order to promote civic mindedness and giving.  We will concentrate on health, education, poverty and where our unique skill set can be put to best use.

The Foundation Mantra: Perpetually Uplifting Portland.

Community Reflection

Dear John McCulloch,

I’d like to thank you for hosting a wonderful Farewell Dinner during the 105th Portland Rose Festival. Our relationship is an outstanding example where community and the military join together to create an environment of mutual support and celebrate those who serve the community. Again, on the behalf of the Sailors of U.S. THIRD Fleet, thank you and the citizens of Portland for being such gracious hosts.

Warm regards, K.E. Floyd
Vice Admiral, U.S. Navy

Dear John,

We look forward to seeing some more of your beautiful projects.

Kindly, Anna and Merrit Quarum

Thanks so much for hosting my daughter’s girl scout/brownie troop last month! The girls, and the adults have all expressed how special that day was for them. We appreciate all you did to bring the history of Portland, Laurelhurst and the Markham house home to our girls.

Dear John,

Our Coast Guard men and women are honored to be able to serve our country and its people, and we are humble by the appreciation that we were shown during the Rose Festival. Thank you again for supporting the Coast Guard and creating a culture of service to others here in the Great Pacific Northwest. Semper Paratus!
