The Story of the Baum House . . .
The Baums are a big happy family who have lived in their Eastmoreland home for over twenty years. While they grew and changed over the last few decades, their home did not. In 2010 they decided it was high time to update and find that classic look that never goes out of style.
In the kitchen we replaced the tile countertop with a unique slab of 'Van Gogh' granite. We moved the gas range from the island to a new location closer to the sink to free up space for food preparation, eating or just doing a crossword. We redid the bathrooms with classic hex tiles, glass shower doors, granite sitting benches, classic light fixtures and pedestal sinks. We repainted almost every room. We rebuilt the mantles in the living room and master bedroom. We took out carpet and refinished the wood underneath. We added wood paneling to the dining room and new cabinets in the kitchen.
Now the Baums have a tasteful, timeless home that would have looked stylish 50 years ago and will look stylish 50 years from now.
