Client: The Klonsky Family
The Story of the Martin Luther Pipes House
We are thrilled by the opportunity to work on this lovely historic home. Wade Pipes did amazing things with the Arts & Crafts style in Portland and the home he designed for his respected father is grandly understated and nestled in a cozy garden setting. The roof lines are superb and the lofty living room boasts a lovely view and a vaulted ceiling.
While we wouldn't dream of improving upon classic Pipes details like the lovely mantle or living room layout, we can tastefully update the kitchen and bathrooms! The kitchen will get a new stone counter, custom-built cabinets, a breakfast nook expansion and be redesigned to incorporate the most modern appliances. The bathrooms will also benefit from modern luxuries: hex tile floors, pedestal sinks, deep soaking tubs, stylish light fixtures and spacious glass showers with granite sitting benches.
