About Our Work

With over forty major remodels in the last two years, as well as a handful of commercial projects, we are transforming homes and commercial sites for less while maintaining the best practices in design and craftsmanship. We tailor make unique spaces for our unique clients. Because we take time to understand budgets and personalities, we stay on target. Photos of our work have been featured in publications such as the Rejuvenation Catalogue, Better Homes and Gardens, this year's Old House Magazine, and Northwest Renovation Magazine.

About the Founder: John McCulloch

Growing up John lived next to a park preserving the estate and grounds of two Victorian mansions: the Bush Estate and Deepwood House. From this came a love of great houses.

John believes that beautiful homes impact their occupants for the good, and that thoughtfully designed homes, buildings and landscaping revitalize neighborhoods.

Sustainability

Our footprint is small because of our main work: recycling old houses. We re-use old house parts. We add insulation and insulated low-e glass windows and storms, and tighten up the energy envelopes of old houses. We salvage wood to save money. Because we design thoughtfully, our work is less likely to go in the dumpster the next time the house changes hands.

Finally, our clients request new green products, so we are constantly expanding our green game. For these reasons we get to feel good about our remodels, restorations, and new homes.
